Samsung Heavy Delivers LNGC to TMS Cardiff

South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries delivered the first of a series of newbuild LNG vessels to Greek TMS Cardiff Gas on June 1, TMS said on June 23 in a LinkedIn post.

The vessel, Qogir, subsequently was accepted by her charterers Total Gas & Power, a unit of French Total. Qogir, a GTT Mark III Flex LNG carrier has a capacity of 174,000 m³, bearing two WinGD XDF dual fuel, low pressure, 2-stroke engines, as well as an LNG subcooler.

The vessel is the newest addition to the fleet managed by TMS and the second vessel of the company that has been chartered to Total Gas & Power, the company said.

Last month, TMS took the delivery of Bonito LNG, the third in the series of its newbuild vessels constructed by another Korean shipbuilder, Hyundai Heavy Industries.
