Saipem Seals Framework Deal with Equinor
Italy's Saipem has signed a two-year framework agreement with Norway's Equinor covering engineering services worldwide, it said on May 26.
The deal covers feasibility and conceptual studies, front-end engineering design work, detailing engineering and related follow-on and support for research and development activities, Saipem said. The firm will also assist Equinor at upcoming projects, including onshore and offshore wind developments.
"The scope of the frame agreement extends, but is not limited, to offshore trunklines including landfalls and flowlines, onshore pipelines, components, subsea structures, field layout and routing design for products such as umbilicals, cables, static flexibles and power cables," Saipem said in a statement.
Saipem and Equinor have been working for over a decade under frame agreements, mainly relating to transportation, installation and subsea construction work.
