Russian Sovcomflot Considers Gas and Rig Participation
The First Deputy CEO of Russian state-owned shipping company Sovcomflot has said that the company is considering taking part in gas and oil rig projects, the Prime Business News Agency has reported.
Speaking to Gazprom’s corporate magazine, Sergei Popravko said that the company was considering taking part in the projects as part of a drive to expand operations on the Russian Arctic shelf. As part of this expansion, Sovcomflot were contemplating taking part in upstream, production and floating drill rig operations.
The company may also involve itself in liquefied natural gas transportation, Mr. Popravko said.
