Rosneft, Lukoil, Novatek Apply for Lebanon Offshore Projects
Russia's Rosneft, LUKOIL Holdings and a combination of NOVATEK and Gazprombank's GPB Global Resources have applied to take part in tenders for Lebanese offshore projects, Dow Jones Newswire has reported citing a statement by the Lebanon's Energy and Water Department.
A total of 52 companies applied from 25 countries, including ExxonMobil, Chevron, Statoil and Total, Dow Jones said.
The statement says that companies that qualify for the tender will be announced on April 18. To be able to participate in the tender, operators must prove that they have total assets worth $10 billion. Non-operators must prove they have total assets worth $500 million, Dow Jones said citing the statement.
