Russia’s Rosneft discovered four new hydrocarbon deposits in Eastern Siberia.
‘Three new deposits were discovered in Irkutsk Region at the Mogdinskiy license area within Savostyanov field following the results of Mogdinskaya-10 exploration well drilling: one oil and gas condensate and two gas condensate deposits,’ reads a note released on Tuesday.
Rosneft is trying to take advantage of the LNG export liberalization to come into force in the New Year.
"Preparing new reserves for developing production activities in the promising regions of Eastern Siberia is the strategic objective of Rosneft that is focused on providing the sustainable production growth in the medium term and in the long run," said the company in the statement.
Last month, the company approved the development of the Kharampur gas field in the Purovsky district of the Yamal-Nenets. It is also proceeding with partnerships to acquire knowledge in the sphere of new materials and to strengthen ties with other oil majors.
