RIA Novosti: Rosneft, CNPC Discuss Deliveries of Russian LNG to China

Russian state-run energy company Rosneft and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) are considering the supply of Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) to China, Rosneft said Monday.

"The sides intend to make joint efforts to further expand strategic partnership, including in the area of LNG projects with the view of future deliveries of Russian liquefied natural gas to China," Rosneft said in a statement following the signing of an agreement on further strategic cooperation between the two companies.

The document was signed earlier Monday by Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin and CNPC vice president Wang Dongjin.
