Reuters: Poland sees big role for state firms in shale gas
Poland expects its state-owned companies to make a strong contribution to the development of shale gas extraction in order to see the first real effects of the process in 2014, Treasury Minister Mikolaj Budzanowski said on Thursday.
“The next two years will undoubtedly be a time of huge engagement by our companies (in shale gas exploration), mainly PGNiG, PKN Orlen and Lotos,” Budzanowski told a seminar.
“We can in real terms think of the first shale gas extraction, on a small scale, in 2014, 2015 at the latest.”
