Regas Gets Loan for Jakarta Bay FSRT
Nusantara Regas has received a $100 million loan for its liquefied natural gas receiving terminal project in Jakarta Bay.
The company is constructing a floating storage and regasification terminal to supply natural gas for power plants in North Jakarta.
The terminal is likely to be operational by August, well past its initial completion deadline of Jan 31.
Located about 15 kilometers off the northern coast of Jakarta, the Jakarta Bay FSRT will be able to convert 3 million tons of LNG into gas per year, or equivalent to about 400 million cubic feet per day (mcfd).
Regas, a subsidiary of state oil company Pertamina and state gas distributor Perusahaan Gas Negara, has secured 11.75 million tons of LNG supply with sellers from the Mahakam gas block in East Kalimantan.
