Qatar May Supply 1.5 mt LNG to Indonesia

Qatar is ready to supply 1.5 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas per year to Indonesia starting next year, Bernama reported citing a report in Antara news agancy.

"I just received a visit from an investor from Hungary that could supply LNG from Qatar for Indonesia," Indonesian Deputy Minister for energy and mineral resources Rudi Rubiandini said.

He said Qatar could supply 1.5 million tonnes of LNG per year in the next two years for the state electricity company PLN .

"PLN could negotiate the LNG price with Qatar between $8-$11 per MMBTU," he said.

After 2015, the country's LNG requirement will increase estimated to reach seven million tonnes a year with the operation of the terminals of Arun, Jateng and Lampung.
