RIA Novosti: Putin, Hu Sign Raft of Deals - But No Gas Price Agreement
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao issued a joint pledge to deepen bilateral ties and signed almost 20 cooperation deals on Tuesday, although a gas price deal to facilitate sales to Beijing was yet again conspicuously missing.
Putin’s visit to China is his first since resuming the Russian presidency on May 7. A total of 17 agreements were signed, covering cooperation in industry, tourism, nuclear power, energy, and direct investment. MORE
