The Warsaw Voice: Poland holds roundtable talks on shale gas prospects
Poland's top government officials including Treasury Minister Mikolaj Budzanowski and as well as upstream business representatives took part March 25 in an industry event dubbed as “Roundtable talks on shale gas in Poland” to discuss the country's prospects in this field.
Among participants of the event, organized by PAP Polish news agency. were CEOs of several Polish companies conducting shale gas exploration works, including PGNiG natural gas monopolist, power utility PGE and Orlen Upstream.
PGNiG, copper group KGHM as well as power utilities PGE, Enea and Tauron will iron out details of shale gas cooperation by May 4, as the parties are finalizing negotiations on the matter, PGNiG and PGE CEOs said during the talks. MORE
