Poland freezes Gazprom Export assets
Poland has imposed sanctions on the export arm of Gazprom, its interior minister said on September 29, five months after the Russian company cut off gas supply to Warsaw for its refusal to comply with a Kremlin decree on making payments in rubles.
"The activities of Gazprom Export LCC are of strategic importance for the government of the Russian Federation," the Polish interior ministry said in a statement.

Poland slapped sanctions on 50 Russian oligarchs in April in response to Moscow's invasion of Ukraine. Under the latest measures, Gazprom Export's assets will be frozen, the ministry said, noting that the company's deputy head, Mikhail Sereda, had been placed on the US sanctions list.
