NGE Notes: Poland Delays on Hydrocarbon Law

Poland's much anticipated draft law on the regulation and taxation on hydrocarbons was not unveiled as scheduled on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Environment did not provide clarification on the reason for the delay or provide an alternate date.

One source suggested that the delay in legislation, which would cover Poland's shale gas industry, was related to dispute amongst ministries over candidates to fill a postion to become a special shale gas coordinator.
