The Baltic Course: PKN Orlen should foremost take on responsibility itself - Dalia Grybauskaite

According to President Dalia Grybauskaite, Lithuania has offered quite substantial concessions to PKN Orlen, which owns Mazeikiai based petroleum refinery, and this company should assume responsibility for its actions.

"I think that the transportation tariff concessions offered by our Railways are very significant as for a private company, but the Lithuanian Government definitely cannot provide direct grants, as it is a private foreign company, therefore, it should foremost take on responsibility itself," said the president on Thursday.

Grybauskaite hopes that the company will continue its activities and will not suspend its operations.
