Malaysian state-run Petronas’ second floating LNG vessel, PFLNG Dua, achieved first LNG production, the company announced on February 15.

Thanks to PFLNG Dua's launch, Petronas said it is now the first global energy player to own and operate two floating LNG vessels. Its PFLNG Satu vessel began operations in 2017.

PFLNG Dua is expected to deliver its first LNG cargo to customers by the middle of March 2021. The facility is capable of reaching gas fields in water depths up to 1,500 m and producing 1.5mn metric tons/year of LNG.
