Petrobras Seeks Bids for Offshore Field
Brazil's Petrobras said on May 4 it had started the teaser phase for the sale of its entire 35% stake in Campo de Manati, a gas-producing shallow-water concession in the Camamu basin off the northeastern state of Bahia.
Manati is 10 km from the shore in waters 35-50 metres deep. It entered production in 2009 and flowed 463mn m3 of gas last year, as well as 105 b/d of condensate. A fixed platform is stationed there, extracting gas from six wells. Production is pumped to an onshore terminal – which is some way from Manati – via a 126-km pipeline.
The transaction covers all field facilities and export infrastructure. Petrobras did not disclose a timeframe for finding a buyer and closing a transaction.
Petrobras' partners at the project include Enauta Participacoes (45%), Geopark Brasil E&P de Petroleo e Gas (10%) and Brasoil Manati Exploracao Petrolifera (10%).
