Pertamina, Adnoc Sign Cooperation Agreement

Pertamina and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) have agreed to collaborate in the oil and gas sector in United Arab Emirates, Indonesia and globally, Indonesian state-owned Pertamina said July 24.   

The two parties signed a comprehensive strategic framework agreement in Bogor, West Java, in the presence of Indonesia president Joko Widodo and Abu Dhabi crown prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Pertamina's managing director, Nicke Widyawati said partnership with Adnoc will help ensure availability and accessibility of energy for the people of Indonesia. 

"Indonesia has a rapidly growing industrial base and energy market. We see significant opportunities to work together to build projects to achieve common strategic goals," Adnoc CEO Ahmed Al Jaber said. 

Pertamina and Adnoc will explore opportunities for cooperation in the upstream and downstream as well as refining, petrochemicals, LNG, LPG, aviation fuel and retail business in Indonesia.
