Pakistan Completes Gas Survey in Sui

Pakistan has completed the 2-D survey to explore new natural gas deposits in Sui area of Dera Bugti. The survey has provided positive results with the confirmation of large gas deposits in the area.

The exercise has been constantly delayed due to the law and order problem in the region.

Pakistan has also completed the 2-D survey in Kharan desert and Barkhan area and exploitation of resources will start soon.

The south Asian nation has been battling severe energy shortage for some years now. The country has been trying to use its natural resources to overcome the crisis. It has also been working on gas pipeline projects like Iran-Pakistan pipeline project and TAPI pipeline project.
