Oz Strike Starts West Erregulla Programme

Strike Energy has started the drill site preparation and other civil works under the West Erregulla programme, it said March 7.

This site will host the Easternwell 106 drill rig for the upcoming West Erregulla-2 campaign. “This milestone marks the first stage of Strike’s operations in the under-explored North Perth Basin, where Strike is looking to discover the next Waitsia-like gas field as well as several other potentially high value gas and liquids plays,” it said.

The West Erregulla-2 well is located within EP469 in the North Perth Basin in Western Australia. Strike is the operator and the holder of a 50% joint venture interest, and Warrego Energy is the holder of the other 50%.

Earlier this week, Strike said it will start drilling the West Erregulla-2 well in May.
