Northeast Europe TSOs sign MoU on green gases
The gas transmission system operators (TSOs) of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland have signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the development of green gases, the companies said on September 14.
The TSOs said they saw the need for joint research into green gases such as biomethane, synthetic methane and renewable hydrogen, as well as a coordinated regulatory approach and close cooperation in the technical field, to develop them. Their joint research will focus on transmission options and ways of integrating green gases with existing infrastructure, among other things. And they may develop pilot projects.
