New President Named for Canada’s Coastal GasLink

Canadian pipeline giant TC Energy said September 14 Tracy Robinson, its senior vice president and president of its Canadian natural gas pipelines division, has assumed the role of president of Coastal GasLink (CGL), the C$6.6bn (US$5bn) conduit under construction to deliver gas to the LNG Canada liquefaction and export project in Kitimat, BC.

She replaces David Pfeiffer, who was named president of CGL in February 2019 as the project moved into the construction phase. Pfeiffer has moved on from TC Energy.

In her added role, TC Energy said in an email to NGW, Robinson “assumes overall accountability for all aspects of the project including project execution, stakeholder relations and commercial management.”

In the same email, TC Energy also said that Pacific Atlantic Pipeline Construction has assumed construction responsibility for Section 5 of CGL, in addition to its current scope for Sections 6 and 7.

“This shift will allow Macro Spiecapag Joint Venture to focus on Section 8 activities which is the most challenging of our eight sections given its mountainous terrain and steep slopes,” TC Energy said.
