Neptune Recruits Three Managers

Carlyle-backed North Sea producer Neptune Energy announced three senior UK-based appointments August 3.

Pete Jones is joining Neptune as managing director of its UK business, based Aberdeen. His latest post was managing director of Taqa Europe, part of Abu Dhabi-based Taqa, but most of his career was with Marathon Oil. He succeeds Ian Conacher, current UK country director, who continue to work at Neptune, initially assisting Jones and then focusing on "business transformation objectives".

Bruce Webb will take up the global position of vice president, operations, later this month, having most recently been DNO's chief operating officer based in Dubai. Most of his career was at BP.

Andrea Guerra will also join Neptune later this month as corporate vice president, reservoir engineering, relocating from Houston where worked for Apache on the North Sea, Argentina and US Gulf Coast.  

Neptune's main investors are private equity funds Carlyle and CVC and the Chinese sovereign wealth fund China Investment Corp; the latter co-owned Engie E&P which was acquired by Neptune six months ago.
