Naftogaz Could Fail to Pay its $3.3 Billion Gazprom Bill on Time
Ukraine’s Naftogaz could fail to pay Gazprom on time, citing delays in client payments, the company said on Monday.
According to Reuters, Naftogaz said that its largest customers owed it almost 27 billion hryvnias ($3.1 billion). This could result in the company failing to pay its $3.3 billion bills on time.
At the same time, Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee, met Yury Boiko, Acting Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine.
‘The parties addressed the issues of operation in the winter period and repayment of the existing gas debt by Naftogaz Ukrainy,’ reads a note released by Gazprom on Monday.
The Russian oil giant did not refer to any details in the press release.
