Metgasco Looks for New Gas Supply Deal
Metgasco is in talks to supply gas from its Casino Gas Project in New South Wales to the Pacific Intermodal & Logistics Industrial Park project in Casino.
Besides providing the company with more buyers for its gas production, the provision at gas at a cost below that of imported fuels such as diesel and liquefied petroleum gas would help attract new business and jobs to the proposed industrial estate, Proactive Investors Australia reported.
The site could potentially use between 3 terajoules and 4 terajoules of gas per day.
Metgasco has a gas sales agreement in place with local dairy manufacturer Richmond Dairies to power Richmond’s manufacturing process.
The company has current proved, probable and possible coal seam gas reserves of 2.4 trillion cubic feet of gas on the 10% of its tenements that have been tested to date.
