Malaysian Firm Wins Work from Petronas, Shell
Malaysian firm Uzma has landed two contracts worth ringgit 136mn ($32.4mn) from Royal Dutch Shell and Malaysia's Petronas for upstream services, the company said in filings on the Bursa Malaysia exchange on March 2.
Uzma said it had been awarded a contract valued at ringgit 100mn by Shell to provide integrated plug and abandonment services at five wells at two of the major's platforms. The work is scheduled to start in April and wrap up in November this year.
The company said separately it had been handed a ringgit 36mn umbrella contract by Petronas to undertake well testing and tubing conveyed perforations. It will finish the work by the end of March 2021 or sooner.
