Maersk gets $10.5mn contract extension off Norway
Denmark's Maersk Drilling said on July 9 that its customer Equinor had exercised an option worth $10.5mn for an additional well intervention at the Martin Linge gas field, which came on stream at the start of this month.
The contract extension worth $10.5mn means that the Maersk Intrepid jack-up rig is now contracted for a further 31 days until February 2022.

It is fitted with a hybrid power package to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Maersk's contract with Equinor provides for performance bonuses, based on the level of emissions from drilling.
