LNG Croatia receives 1st cargo from Indonesia

LNG Croatia, the operator of the FSRU-based Krk import project, has received its first LNG cargo from Mozambique, it said on June 2. The LNG carrier Cool Rover arrived at the terminal from the port of Bontang at the Badak LNG terminal in Indonesia.

Croatia became the world's 40th importer of LNG in 2021 and has since announced plans to double Krk's regas capacity to 6.1bn m3/year.

LNG Croatia last year said the floating terminal located on the island of Krk will begin sending LNG to gas-powered ships and vehicles across Italy and eastern Europe, under a joint collaboration agreement struck by its operator Prvo Plinarsko Drustvo and Avenir LNG.
