LLOG marks production launch in deepwater Gulf of Mexico
US E&P independent LLOG Exploration said June 29 it had achieved first gas at its Spruance deepwater project in the Gulf of Mexico, producing around 13mn ft3/day of gas and 16,000 barrels/day of oil.
The Spruance field is situated in the Ewing Bank exploration area, in blocks 877 and 921. It comprises two production wells that dispatch gas via a 14-mile subsea tieback to the processing platform at Lobster, a heavy oil and gas development operated by EnVen and situated in Ewing Bank block 873.

LLOG and its partners managed to flow oil and gas from Spruance within three years of its initial discovery back in mid-2019. The company owns a 22.64% working interest at Spruance, working alongside partners Ridgewood Energy (23.89%), EnVen (13.5%), Beacon Asset Holdings (11.61%), Houston Energy (11.2%), Red Willow (11.15%) and CL&F (6%).
