Liquid Niugini Gas Signs LNG Deal with China

Papua New Guinea’s Liquid Niugini Gas project has inked a heads of agreement (HOA) with China to supply 1 – 1.5 million metric tonnes of LNG per year.

The deal will see Papua New Guinea supply China with LNG for 15 years following 2015.

The signing of the deal had helped pave the way for three smaller projects, which would transport 3.75 million metric tonnes in its first year.

The new plant will be operating at 75% of its full potential in its first year.
