Libya May Auction Gas Blocks Next Year
Libya may auction areas containing natural gas in the next energy auction round planned for next year, according to Bloomberg.
“It is possible that the bidding round could include gas,” Mansour Emtir, petrochemical and gas superintendent of the state-run NOC, told Bloomberg.
He said the country needs more gas for power plants and for petrochemical projects.
The country may contain contain 100 trillion cubic feet of gas, almost double its 54 trillion cubic feet in proven reserve, NOC Gas Committee Chairman Jamal Hawisa told a conference, Bloomberg added.
