Kunlun Energy to Start LNG Plant in June
Kunlun Energy Co Ltd is expected to commence a 2-million-cubic-metre (mcm) per day natural gas liquefaction plant in June, Reuters reported. The said plant will be the biggest in China.
Kunlun's plant in Yan'an, in the resource-rich northern province of Shaanxi, is equivalent to 500,000 tpy. It is the first facility of this scale based on domestic liquefaction technology.
Hong Kong-listed Kunlun Energy, has become a leading player in the sector. It builds gas liquefaction plants, operates LNG receiving terminals, trucks the fuel and builds LNG filling stations.
