Kogas 9M LNG Imports Up 11.6% on Year

Kogas’ cumulative LNG imports during the nine months of 2017 were 24.42mn metric tons, up 11.6% year on year, it said November 13 in a quarterly report. The company did not provide breakup of the import figures for the Q3. Most of the imports came under Kogas’ 15 long term contracts with 10 countries.

The company imports 96% of Korea’s LNG through its four terminals. Kogas’ sales volume during 9M decreased 3% year-on-year to 22.4mn mt, as sales into the power sector decreased by 1.05mn mt year on year.

On the financial side, the company reported a revenue of won 15.61 trillion ($10bn) up by won 679bn year on year.
