KCA Deutag scores $185mn in Middle East deals
UK-based engineering group KCA Deutag has secured nearly $185mn of land drilling contracts in the Middle East, the company reported on November 8.
Multiple rig extensions were secured in Saudi Arabia, representing 13 years of work across three rigs, KCA Deutag said. In Oman, a one-year extension was awarded for two heavy 2,000-hp rigs.

"These awards are a sign of rising confidence in our core markets as we increase and sustain activity following the COVID-19 pandemic challenges and resulting reduction in oil demand," KCA Deutag's president of land, Simon Drew, commented.
KCA Deutag did not disclose the identities of the clients.
