Japan's LNG imports up in June

Japanese LNG imports in June totalled 4.56mn tonnes, up 0.8% compared to the same period last year, according to provisional data released by Japan's finance ministry on July 18. However, the imports represented a decline of nearly 6.4% compared to the previous month.

The cost of LNG imports in June amounted to 429.9bn yen ($2.75bn), an 8.1% increase compared to the same period last year.
