Japan's JGC Wins Mozambique LNG Plant Contract: Press
Japanese engineering firm JGC Holdings has won yen 400bn ($3.7bn) contract to build an LNG plant in Mozambique that will be operated by US major ExxonMobil, Nikkei reported on October 8.
JGC will partner US engineering company Fluor and London-based TechnipFMC for the project. They will engage in design, procurement and construction work, Nikkei said. ExxonMobil has proposed a two-train Rovuma LNG complex that will produce up to 15.2mn mt/yr of LNG for export at full capacity.
Bloomberg October 7 reported that ExxonMobil planned to take a decision on the project in a ceremony on October 8.
