Japanese July LNG Imports Up a Tad

Japan’s LNG imports in July stood at 6.82mn metric tons, up just 0.1% year-on-year, according to the provisional data released by country’s finance ministry August 19.

July imports were however sharply higher month-on-month. In June, Japan imported 5.2mn mt of LNG. Japan is the world’s biggest LNG importer.
