Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company to Build Iran-Oman Gas Pipeline

Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) will build the Iran-Oman gas pipeline.

“The construction of the gas export pipeline from Iran to Oman will be carried out by the IOEC,” Rahim Tabrizi a senior official with said in an interview with the Tasnim News Agency on Tuesday.

The 400-kilometer pipeline, stretching from Mubarak Mountain to Sohar Port, is defined in two onshore and offshore sections.

Studies on both onshore and offshore sections of the pipeline will be conducted simultaneously to avoid any disruption in the implementation of the project.

Iran and Oman in 2013 signed a deal under which Tehran will export 28 mcm/d of gas to its neighbour through a subsea pipeline for 15 years.
