Iran to Invest $8.5 billion in Iran Gas Trunkline-9
National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) plans to invest $8.5 billion in Iran Gas Trunkline-9 (IGAT-9) to feed the country's Western provinces, a company official was quoted as saying by Fars News Agency.
The official said that designing of the pipeline will be complete in two months.
“With the construction of this pipeline, in addition to increasing gas supply to the Western provinces, it will be possible to boost exports,” the official stated.
IGAT-9 will feed gas into pipelines crossing Bazargan border point.
The 1,800 km long IGAT-9 also known as Europe Gas Export Line, starts from East of Assalouyeh and passes through provinces of Khuzestan, Ilam, Kurdistan, and West-Azerbaijan and reaches to Turkey’s border.
