Iran to Discuss Gas Exports With EU Next Month
Iranian officials will meet with number of Europe firms next month to discuss gas exports, Shana News reported Wednesday quoting a senior official.
Hamid Reza Araqi, deputy minister of petroleum, however did not mention the exact date or venue of the talks.
Araqi, who is also managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), added that his company is in talks with foreign investors willing to invest in Iranian gas pipeline projects, but no agreement has been signed so far.
“These companies are conducting negotiations [with NIGC] to discuss financing and investment” in Iran's gas pipeline projects, he added.
Araqi’s comments come after Fars News, earlier this week, reported that European Union has started unofficial talks with Iran for imports of gas,
