Iran, South Africa Look to Cooperate in LNG, GTL Space
South Africa is interested in LNG and gas to liquids (GTL) projects in Iran.
Iranian deputy petroleum minister Mansour Moazzami met with South African Deputy Energy Minister Thembisile Majola in Tehran and discussed various energy projects, reported state owned Shana News on Sunday.
The two parties talked construction of gas to liquid (GTL) refineries where South Africa will cooperate with Iran's National Petrochemical Company (NPC).
Majola stressed South Africa firms would transfer GTL technology to Iranian companies and form joint ventures, Shana News added.
"We are also willing to import LNG cargoes from Iran," Majola said.
