Iran's Forooz B Field May Produce 1 bcf of Gas Per Day

Iran’s Forooz B gas field will likely produce one billion cubic feet of gas, director of the project on development of the Forooz A and Forooz B gas fields Abdolhaim Esfandiarpour said.

He said the field has 29 trillion cubic feet of gas, 18.5 trillion cubic feet of which can be extracted. A total of six billion euros will be invested in the field.

Forooz B gas field is located in the Persian Gulf among three Iranian islands of Kish, Sirri and Qeshm.

The gas from the field will be used to produce electricity which will be used domestically and will also be exported.
