Inpex Mulls Shale Exploration in Oz: Press
Japan's Inpex Corporation is looking to develop shale gas resources in Australia, company president Takayuki Ueda said August 2 in Sydney, Jiji Press reported the same day.
Ueda said the company will look for possibilities of shale gas development in the state of Northern Territory. The state had banned fracking three years ago but lifted the ban last year.
Late last month Northern Territory gave Santos a go ahead to explore for shale gas. The state government approved Santo's plan to drill two wells in McArthur Basin.
