Indonesia Grants CBM, Oil and Gas Contracts

The Indonesian government has signed a series of coal bed methane and oil and gas contracts.

The Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry entered into nine coal bed methane contracts include four in Central Kalimantan and two in South Sumatra, with contractors including state-owned gas company PT Pertamina, BP Plc., PT Sugico Graha , PT Metana Sumatera, PT Indo CBM Sumbagsel and PT Bukit Asam.

Five oil and gas contracts were entered into covering working areas in Riau Islands, Jambi, South Sumatra and North Sumatra; with contractors including Lundin Gurita, Techwin Energy South Betung, Cooper Energy and Schintar Marquisa.
