Indonesia Asks Exxon to Develop CBM Projects

Indonesian government has asked ExxonMobil Corporation to develop coal bed methane (CBM) projects in Indonesia, media reports said Friday.

The government said Exxon had the technological capacity to explore CBM, which has huge potentials in Indonesia.

Indonesia holds up to 453.3 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of CBM resource in 11 hydrocarbon basins. CBM proven reserve stands at 112.47 TCF while probable reserve at 57.60 TCF.
