India's LNG imports up 7% in April
Indian LNG imports in April came in at 2.21bn m3 (1.64mn metric tons), up 6.5% year/year, the country’s oil and gas ministry's Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) website showed on May 22. The imports were down 1.4% month/month, however.
During the financial year that ended on March 31 (FY2023), India’s LNG imports were 26.65bn m3, down 14.1% compared with the previous year. In FY2023, imports cost $17.3bn versus $13.5bn in FY2022.
