India's LNG Imports in November Jump 19%
India’s LNG imports increased for the ninth month in a row in November and were 2.64bn m3 (about 2mn metric tons), up 19% yr/yr, according to latest data published by Indian oil and gas ministry's Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell.
In the eight months to November 30, cumulative imports were 21.74bn m³, up 9.9% yr/yr. If the trend continues, India’s imports during the financial year than ends on March 31, 2020, will touch a new record. In the previous financial year, the country imported a record 27bn m³ of LNG.
