India, Indonesia Look to Cooperate in CBM Sector
Indonesia and India are mulling to cooperate in planning and development of coal bed methane sector.
Indonesia has huge coal bed methane reserves but does not have the technology to effectively exploit the energy source.
The two countries agreed to work together first meeting of the joint working group on oil and gas fields between the two countries which was held last week in Bali.
Indian government wants to invest in Indonesia’s upstream gas sector—particularly CBM and natural gas, as India is experiencing gas supply shortages.
