Hyundai Mipo Bags LNG Bunkering Vessel Order
South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, a unit of Hyundai Heavy Industries, has received an order to build an LNG bunkering vessel, it said November 19 in a statement published on its website.
The LNG bunkering vessel will be delivered in January 2022, the company said without naming the customer. The vessel will have a length of 166 metres, a width of 24.4 metres and height of 12.9 metres and a capacity of 18,000 m3.
Hyundai Mipo said that the vessel will be equipped with a dual-fuel engine, with boil-off gas as its main fuel. Last year, the company delivered a 7,500 m3 LNG bunkering ship to Germany’s Bernhard Schulte.
