Oil & Gas Technology: Horn Petroleum to Raise USD 15m, Change Name and Shift Focus to Target Pan-African Opportunities

Horn Petroleum is changing its name, shifting its geographical focus away from Somalia and raising funds through equity sales in order to clinch emerging opportunities across sub-Saharan Africa resulting from an advantageous oil and gas acquisition market.

Horn Petroleum has invoked a new corporate strategy to take advantage of the current downturn in oil prices and intends to aggressively pursue onshore and shallow-water upstream oil opportunities in Africa.

In line with this refocused effort, the company intends to change its name to Africa Energy Corp.
