Henry Hub dips after major rally

The November gas supply contract at the US Henry Hub cooled off October 26, after rising 11% the previous day amid forecasts of an early cold snap.

The contract was trading down some 0.4% as of 11:05 GMT at $6.03/mn Btu.

A dip was expected in the aftermath of reports of a warmer-than-expected winter for much of the US, but that changed with the development of a La Nina pattern that could mean just the opposite for parts of the south. The US south, as well as large parts of the regional energy sector, were idled by a deep freeze in February dubbed Winter Storm Uri.

Henry Hub rallied some 8% during the month of the storm.
